It is said that La Mesa Libanesa used to be part of a small empire of Lebanese restaurants in Medellín. Unfortunately, a mysterious illness quite literally brought the owner to his knees and after endless expensive operations, he is now confined to a wheel chair.
What remains of this former empire is a small and quaint restaurant which offers an equally humble line up of meals. The food itself is ok, though a little bland.
Indeed, your evening's entertainment is perhaps more likely to come from chatting to the friendly owner about his former glory, or if you get lucky, enjoying the belly dancing Paisas that appear from time to time. |
