Champions Bar may well be the wrong side of the river to attract typical sports bar enthusiasts, but its down to earth ambience is refreshing.
The friendly American owner has become a bit of a reluctant oracle for foreigners trying to settle in Medellín and is very honest and blunt in true New York style.
You can enjoy live access to just about every sport, including pay-per-view and others not available through cable or satellite. For added tension you can also place a bet on many of the major events.
If you hate sport, there is always the extensive food menu with some treats not easily found in Medellín, including, Buffalo Wings, Philly Cheeseteak or Breaded Shrimp.
Things get busy on Saturday nights.
